We've been able to complete the repair or rebuilding of 20 houses for the poorest families and organize free medical check-ups by local doctors, and supply the needed medication for 75 middle-age and elderly people.
We've also organized hygiene classes with the village children to teach hair washing and administer lice treatment, as well as treat skin rashes, open sores and cuts, thanks to the help of a volunteer nurse and pharmacist. Basing out of a tin shed in the community, we run weekly classes and activities for 45 of the village children, which includes reading, writing, English, health and hygiene, music, story time, moral instruction, games, learning activities, sports, and art classes. We've recently sponsored the salary for a local English teacher to follow up on our weekly classes, with daily English study time.
